Your Hour Her Power: Why Monthly Support Matters This Women’s History Month

For years, Your Hour, Her Power — donating the equivalent of one hour of your pay — has been a meaningful way to stand with women during Women’s History Month.

This March, we’re expanding that commitment through The Access Circle — our community of monthly donors who ensure women have steady support, not just a single moment of help.

This Women’s History Month arrives at a difficult moment for many women in the Bay Area.

The cost of living continues to rise. Career transitions carry more risk. And too many women are working hard without gaining stability. The distance between having a job and building a future is growing wider.

Ambition is not the issue. Access is.

What Your Monthly Gift Makes Possible

Support from The Access Circle helps provide women with:

  • Career coaching and guidance

  • Workplace attire

  • Skills-building programs and community

This ongoing access helps women stay supported as they work toward economic mobility.

The Impact of Access

This year alone, more than 1,300 women are relying on Dress for Success San Francisco & San Jose as they pursue meaningful employment at a livable wage.

Within 12 months of completing our cohort programs, participants increase their income by an average of 191%.

These outcomes are not accidental. They are the result of support that shows up consistently — month after month.

Why Monthly Support Matters

Career progress doesn’t happen all at once. It happens through consistent access to guidance, resources, and community — especially at moments of transition.

By giving the equivalent of one hour of your pay each month, you help ensure women don’t lose momentum just as they’re ready to move forward. Monthly support provides stability where gaps too often exist.

Your Hour, Her Power is rooted in a simple truth: progress happens when people show up consistently.
