Volunteer Spotlight Crystal

Individual Volunteer Spotlight: Crystal

“It’s easy to get trapped in a negative feedback loop of being upset about the high-level issues in society that are out of my direct control. But when I refocus on what I can control, it becomes a lot easier to see the positive in life when I really try to make the commitment of contributing to the mission of bettering my local community in any way I can. I feel a lot of gratitude when witnessing the strength and power of a community when people come together to help each other.” - Crystal

Crystal finds time to volunteer even while working a busy corporate job - often visiting us during her lunch breaks. Crystal's impact can be seen after one of her many one-on-one personal shopping appointments, with the client leaving happy, confident and ready to tackle her interview.

Crystal has also supported our special events and recently joined the Holiday Soiree planning committee.

Thank you Crystal for all your support!

Individual Volunteer Jobs Overview

After you attend your orientation, you will have access to our Volunteer Calendar to schedule your first shift!

Our offices operate Monday - Friday from 9 am-5 pm. Most volunteer opportunities take place during that time, with the exception of occasional evening opportunities.

Career coaching: Serve as a career coach and work 1:1 with women who are looking for assistance in career assessment, resume/cover letter writing, mock interviews, or building/utilizing LinkedIn and other social media profiles. Career coaching appointments are based on client request. Frequency is dependent on the assistance the client needs and the mentor’s scheduling capacity.

Virtual Job Search Program: Serve as an expert speaker for our job search mentoring program. Inspire and encourage women who are seeking employment.
