Donate Clothing

Guidelines for Donating Clothing: Review and then sign up for an appointment below.

PLEASE NOTE - The Donation Drive will be held at our office on September 20. Please park and bring your donations inside.

We do NOT accept walk-in appointments for dropping off donations.

1. We ONLY accept donations during our monthly donation drives.

2. An appointment is required for dropping off donations during our donation drives and a sign up link will be posted on our website approximately two weeks before the next donation drive.

3. We do not accept walk in appointments for dropping off donations.

4. Please bring no more than TWO bags of items. Items must be clean and in a small box weighing under 30 pounds, or in shopping bags/reusable bags/etc. NO trash bags. If you have any questions about the clothing limit, please email clothingdonations@sfdress.org.

5. Bring your donations to our office at 500 Sutter St, Suite 218, San Francisco, CA 94102.

6. Clothing should be current and contemporary no more than 5 years old.

Items we DO accept:

• Work appropriate suits

• Work appropriate separates (blouses, sweaters, pants, blazers, dresses, etc.)

• Work appropriate shoes (good condition, gently worn)

• Handbags, briefcases and portfolios

• Jewelry, including costume jewelry

• Scarves and other accessories

• Unopened toiletries and makeup (must be in original packaging)

Items that we DO NOT accept:

• Menswear

• Casual clothing (t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts/hoodies, etc.)

• Athletic or Leisure wear (yoga pants, tank tops, etc.)

• Sneakers, sandals or casual shoes

• Lingerie

• Eveningwear
