Shop for Success: A New Addition to this year’s Holiday Soirée Weekend

This year, Dress for Success San Francisco introduced Shop for Success as a special second-day sale following the Holiday Soirée and the response surpassed all expectations. In its first year, the event raised over $10,000, creating a new and engaging way for the community to support our mission while enjoying high-quality shopping at incredible prices.

A Fun Shopping Experience for All

Guests were invited to explore racks of quality clothing and accessories—from timeless wardrobe staples to unexpected designer finds. The sale featured a wide size-inclusive range, with clothing from sizes 00 to 28, ensuring that all shoppers could discover pieces that fit both their style and their lives. Most items were traditionally women’s clothing, including a standout selection from Banana Republic and Liverpool Los Angeles, along with a small curated men’s section featuring items such as Armani suits.

All items were first-come, first-served, and the event welcomed guests ages 10 and up, creating a fun and accessible experience for families and fashion lovers alike.

Adding to the excitement, Dress for Success San Francisco proudly featured a generous donation from Rothy’s. Their iconic shoes—normally retailing for $150+—were offered for just $25 a pair, making this section one of the most popular attractions of the day.

Part of the fun of Shop for Success was introducing the next generation to philanthropy (and fashion).

Powered by Volunteers

Big thank you to our NextGen Co-Chairs Blake Cussen, Keri Eron, Olivia Krassner, high school students who helped to promote and plan Sunday’s event. The success of Shop for Success was made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers who carried, sorted, and displayed clothing; assisted guests; managed checkout; and helped the event run seamlessly from start to finish. Their energy and commitment transformed Shop for Success into a warm, welcoming, and well-organized experience. Special thanks to Italian Women USA (IWUSA) who brought over 15 people to help!

Dress for Success San Francisco extends deep gratitude to every volunteer who played a part in making the first year of Shop for Success such a remarkable success.

We are grateful to everyone who came out in support of Bay Area women.
