‘I Look Forward to Helping More Clients Feel Empowered’

A Volunteer Reflection from Emily P. of Xero

Corporate volunteers play an important role at Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose, bringing encouragement, energy, and support to women preparing for interviews, new jobs, and career transitions.

Through workplace attire appointments, career coaching, and professional development programs, volunteers help create welcoming spaces where women can build confidence and prepare for what comes next.

Emily P. from Xero recently volunteered with Dress for Success as part of a company initiative and shared her experience supporting clients through Career Wardrobe.

“I volunteered with Dress for Success as part of a company initiative, and within a couple of hours, we helped three women select beautiful outfits for their interviews and first weeks on the job.

“The care and thought that went into creating such a supportive and uplifting experience for the clients really impressed me. Connecting with the women and sharing in the excitement of finding outfits that made them feel confident was really energizing.

“The warm and welcoming environment fostered by the staff and other volunteers made it clear to me that this was an organization I wanted to stay involved with. I look forward to helping more clients feel empowered.”
