Giving Tuesday: Why Your Part Matters, From Lucy, One of Our Volunteers

Lucy might look familiar, she’s one of our amazing Dress for Success San Jose volunteers. 

Today, in honor of Giving Tuesday, we're excited to share her powerful perspective on why she volunteers with Dress for Success San Jose:

"When I went through my own career change, I did it without knowing how to navigate anything. I had no guidance or a mentor and I don't want anyone to feel that way. That's why I volunteer with Dress for Success San Jose because I hope to be a mentor or a supporter for someone else, to help open the doors that I had to seek on my own. 

And my goal is when a woman walks through the door, that she will do the same for someone who comes after her. Because that's how change grows.  The data proves it; gender diverse companies succeed, empowering women also improves our economy." - Lucy, Dress for Success San Jose volunteer
