Welcome Katie Colendich to the Board of Directors!
"I've spent my career in rooms that women haven't always had access to, and I know how much of getting there comes down to confidence and opportunity rather than talent alone.
What drew me to Dress for Success is how practical its mission is: it's not just about a wardrobe or a resume, it's about giving women the tools and confidence to walk into a room and stay there. I'm honored to join the Board and support that work as it grows."
Join us in welcoming Katie Colendich, the newest member of the Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose Board of Directors.
A strategic business partner who helps technology companies navigate growth, risk, and change, Katie currently works as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Asana. With over twenty years of experience, she has spent her career guiding companies through scale, complex transactions, and transformation, including senior legal roles at HP and Hewlett-Packard Company before she joined Asana in 2020.
"I've spent my career in rooms that women haven't always had access to, and I know how much of getting there comes down to confidence and opportunity rather than talent alone,” Katie shared. “What drew me to Dress for Success is how practical its mission is: it's not just about a wardrobe or a resume, it's about giving women the tools and confidence to walk into a room and stay there. I'm honored to join the Board and support that work as it grows."
Katie holds a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and a B.S. in Political Science and a B.A. in English from Santa Clara University.
She has focused much of her board service on organizations that advance economic development and job creation. When she's not in the boardroom, you'll find Katie cheering on the SF Giants and the Golden State Valkyries.
"Joining the Board of Dress for Success San Francisco is personal for me,” Katie said. “Over the course of my career, I've watched what happens when women get access, the right resources, and someone who believes in their potential. This organization builds all three, and I'm honored to help expand its reach across the Bay Area."
Thank you, Katie, for stepping into this leadership role and for sharing your time and expertise as a member of our Board of Directors. We’re grateful to have you alongside us as we support Bay Area women in preparing for work, securing employment, and building long-term stability for themselves and their families.
